Renting a Bike or a car
You can rent a motor bike everywhere - Honda 115cc ; Yamaha 115 cc, manual speeds or automatic, for 30 000 rupiah per day (US$ 3.30) or 500 000 rupiah/month (US$ 55). Tiger 250cc are also available.
Cars rate will go up from 80 000 rupiah/day (US$ 8.80) for a small Suzuki.

Tips - Travel in style
If you go to Lombok by plane and take Merpati airline: Ttwo planes are used for this hub. One is an old Fokkers with its typical fuel scent, the wheels under the wings and a maximum altitude of 10 000 ft, the other one a spacious Airbus.
Health Hazards
Bali is in the equatorial belt - lat.: 8.4° South - and the main health problem you may encounter will have to do with sun rays, deshydratation and food germs.
